PC or MAC?
So my cheap Acer laptop died yesterday (it served its purpose, though I had planned it to last a bit longer), something to do with the motherboard…
Anyways, now I’m looking for new laptop, and I’m faced with the nearly three decade long debate: PC or MAC? Mind you, funds are low, so that has a lot to do with my decision…got any recommendations? If you say PC, which one?
Come back to see what I get within the next day or two…
I recommend a Mac. I love mine! It really wasn’t that much more expensive since I got mine as a referb from apple.com. In the long run, I think it saves you money. Macs last a lot longer. I have had mine for 3 years and no crash… my PC- I had for 2 years and crashed multiple times.
Once you go Mac you won’t want to get on a PC again. Its hard for me to work on a PC at work. So I have my macbook beside me.
I’m advocate for the Mac. But I’m a bigger advocate for not breaking the budget.
I have owned a total of three PCs within a 15 year period of being online. Enough said
I’m getting a Mac myself, tired of the PC world. I never hear my friends who have Macs complain. Plus Windows software sucks!
I just got an Asus Eee1000. The little guy to replace my laptop . It has a bigger hard drive 160 GB. Only expands to 2mb memory but the processor is a fast little guy. Thought long and hard about a MAC. Someday but the software issues for me were big. Bible software (PC Study Bible ) and music software don’t speak Macintosh. All the best on your quest.
Best Bible software (Logos) is on the Mac now, as is Quick Verse, MacSword and several others. I have had five Macs since 1994- one was an old classic 2 and then I just wanted a laptop. However, the laptop I had since 2001 is still running (sold it to a friend when I bought a PowerBook- it was an iBook).
I have two PCs at home and they have both bitten the dust. I am still trying to recover one. The other required a new hard drive. PC= Pretty Crappy.
Hi William,
enjoyed checking out your blog and can relate to your wanting to teach theology. Making a living at studying and teaching others about Jesus, and the gospel would be amazing. Some of my favorite authors are Driscoll, Piper and D.A. Carson, but I’m always on the lookout for informed opinions. Any suggestions?
Keep up the good work!
My Best,
Travis Tiner
